Licensing

Understand Sixtyfold's noncommercial public license and separate commercial terms.

Sixtyfold Charts is a project of Different Planet - Unipessoal Lda. The source repository and public npm packages use the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0. This is source-available software, not OSI-approved open-source software.

Noncommercial use

The public license permits use, modification, and redistribution for noncommercial purposes subject to its complete terms. Read the repository LICENSE file; this page is an explanation, not a replacement for the license.

Commercial use

Commercial use requires a separate license from Different Planet - Unipessoal Lda. Standard paid plans cover all current Sixtyfold Charts JavaScript runtime and framework-adapter packages, including core, line, stock, ssr, and themes.

PlanBillingLicensee scopeDeployment rights
SoloAnnualOne named individualUnlimited standard applications
Company (Founding rate)AnnualOne named legal entityUnlimited standard applications
OEM (Launch rate)AnnualOne named legal entityUnlimited standard applications plus one named OEM product

Current prices are published on the pricing page from the same server-owned plan registry used by checkout, so amounts are not duplicated in documentation. Checkout shows the final currency, taxes, renewal interval, and total before purchase.

The Solo plan belongs to one named individual and cannot be shared. Company and OEM cover unlimited developers and contractors working for one named legal entity. Affiliates and subsidiaries are not included unless an executed order says otherwise. The OEM plan permits redistribution only as an inseparable part of one product named at checkout, with unlimited customer installations and end users while the subscription is active. Customers receive no Sixtyfold developer rights.

Solo renews at the current published price. Company's founding rate remains protected while the same entity continuously renews the same plan and scope. The OEM launch price is fixed for four years. After that, we may change the OEM renewal price with at least 90 days' notice. Protected rates exclude applicable taxes. First-time Solo and Company purchases include the voluntary 30-day refund guarantee defined by the commercial terms.

Multiple OEM products, affiliates, customer developer rights, chart builders, low-code/no-code builders, white-label products, SDKs, and developer tools require a separately negotiated Extended OEM agreement.

Perpetual OEM rights for one named product are available by custom agreement.

AI-assisted development

Using a coding assistant, agent, code generator, translator, obfuscator, or refactoring tool does not change the applicable license. Generated or rewritten output that reproduces, modifies, embeds, calls, or otherwise incorporates Sixtyfold remains subject to that license to the extent provided by contract and law. Renaming identifiers or changing formatting and structure does not by itself create commercial-use or redistribution rights. Independently created software is not covered merely because it implements similar ideas, interfaces, behavior, or functionality.

Sixtyfold does not use runtime activation, phone-home license checks, or customer-chart telemetry. License obligations are contractual.

If a subscription ends, versions deployed—and authorised OEM installations distributed—under a valid license may continue operating under the executed terms. New development, library updates, new or changed deployments, new OEM distributions, and support require active entitlement.

Contributors

Contributors retain ownership and accept the versioned Sixtyfold Contributor License Agreement before a pull request can merge. The agreement grants Different Planet - Unipessoal Lda. the rights needed to use, modify, sublicense, and relicense contributions under both public and commercial or proprietary terms.
